cyberTRON (Amiga)
A downloadable game
cyberTRON is a tron light cycles type game for 2 to 4 players on Commodore Amiga.
In 1992 I had the idea of manufacturing and selling these home made 4-player adapters. I then figured it would improve sales if I created a game to go along with it.
(The 4 player adapter is out of stock, in case you are wondering ;)
The game is similar to others of its genre but has one innovation: pushing the fire button activates turbo boost! But in turbo mode, you can not change directions and your trail becomes semi transparent. So its a trade off.
What makes this game still interesting today is that you can control the menu with only a joystick, no keyboard required. This makes it a good user experience on a CD32, MiSTer and similar setups where you may not have a keyboard connected.
The game was developed on a PAL Amiga but should detect NTSC and resize the playfield accordingly. This is however not fully tested.
Music is "chipper.mod" from Aminet.
Written in Blitzbasic.

Hi, since adapters are out of stock, are the ones still available on the market supported? Can we play CyberTron with these, for instance?
https://amigastore.eu/en/41-4-players-adapter-for-amiga.html
if not, what about publishing also the schematics for the interface?
i would think yes. my adapter was compatible with Dynablasters, which is the "standard", i think they all use the same internal wiring. the schematics are on Aminet i think
Many thanks!
cool! thanks for sharing!
most welcome :)
